From DP Records

Overview

All physical releases and merchandise in the Disabled Parker store are produced and shipped directly by DP Records. Every CD, cassette, poster, and piece of clothing is assembled, printed, and packaged by hand. Because of this, orders may take a little longer than large corporate retailers, but customers receive something personal, small-batch, and crafted with care.

By placing an order, you agree to the policies outlined below by DP Records.

Handmade Nature of Products

Most items in the store are handmade or hand-assembled by DP Records, including:

  • CDs (burned and printed individually)

  • Cassettes (recorded and labeled by us)

  • Printed inserts, booklets, and J-cards

  • Posters and in-house printed artwork

  • Certain clothing items (depending on design and process)

Small variations in print color, alignment, cut, or packaging may occur. These are not considered defects, but part of the DIY nature of DP Records and Disabled Parker.

Order Processing Time

Because DP Records is a small operation and many items are made-to-order:

  • Please allow a reasonable amount of time for DP Records to prepare, print, assemble, and pack your order.

  • Processing time may increase around major releases (for example, Obscura), restocks, or sales.

If there is a significant delay beyond a normal window, DP Records will do its best to communicate that through the website or future updates.

Shipping

Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout.

  • Your order will be shipped to the exact address provided.

  • Please ensure your address information is complete and accurate before placing your order.

  • Once a package is accepted by the carrier, delivery times are out of DP Records’ control.

If tracking is available for your order, it will be associated with your shipment through the carrier used.

Pre-Orders

From time to time, certain releases (such as Obscura) may be offered as pre-orders.

  • Pre-order items will not ship immediately.

  • Estimated ship dates will be listed in the product description.

  • If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, they may ship together once everything is ready, unless otherwise stated.

By purchasing a pre-order, you understand that production and shipping will occur closer to the stated release timeframe.

Returns and Exchanges

Because many items are handmade, small-batch, and made specifically for each order, DP Records generally:

  • Does not accept returns or exchanges for:

    • Change of mind

    • Ordering the wrong item

    • Minor cosmetic imperfections related to DIY production

Please double-check your cart before completing your purchase.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives seriously damaged or unplayable (for example, a cracked CD case in transit, a cassette that does not play, or a misprinted disc):

  1. Contact DP Records within a reasonable timeframe after receiving your order.

  2. Include your order information and a brief description of the issue. Photos are extremely helpful.

DP Records will review each situation individually. When appropriate, we may:

  • Offer a replacement item, or

  • Provide an alternative solution if the exact item is no longer available.

Lost or Delayed Packages

Once a package has been handed off to the shipping carrier, DP Records relies on the same tracking information that you see.

  • If your package is marked Delivered but you have not received it, please check with neighbors, building management, or your local post office.

  • If a package is significantly delayed or appears stuck in transit, we ask for patience while the carrier resolves the issue.

DP Records cannot guarantee replacements for packages that are lost due to incorrect addresses or carrier errors, but we will review situations case by case.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Because orders often move quickly into production:

  • DP Records cannot guarantee that we can change or cancel an order once it has been placed.

  • If you notice an error in your order, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist.

Merch Sizing and Apparel

For items such as shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and shorts:

  • Please refer to any sizing information listed on the product page.

  • If sizing details are not yet listed, fits are generally comparable to standard unisex sizing.

Because many apparel items are printed or produced to order, DP Records is usually unable to exchange sizes once shipped.

Digital vs. Physical Purchases

If and when digital items (downloads, digital booklets, etc.) are offered:

  • Digital items are non-refundable once delivered.

  • Physical and digital purchases may be handled separately by DP Records.

Policy Updates

These store policies may be updated over time as DP Records grows, new formats are introduced, and new shipping or production methods are added. The version posted on this page at the time of purchase is the version that applies to your order.
