ABOUT — MORE CHERRIES IN THE MACHINE (EP)

Released December 12, 2025
4 Tracks — 17 Minutes
Distributed by DP Records

More Cherries in the Machine is a reinterpretation project built directly from Disabled Parker’s debut album Cherry Machine. Rather than introducing entirely new material, the EP revisits key tracks and reshapes them through remixing, restructuring, and subtle alterations in tone and pacing.

The result is a release that exists alongside Cherry Machine—not as a replacement, but as an alternate version of it. Familiar ideas are preserved, but the presentation shifts, offering a different listening experience built from the same foundation.

Each track approaches this differently. Some are extended, some are condensed, and others are adjusted purely through atmosphere. Together, they form a collection that highlights how small changes in structure and sound can redefine a track.

TRACK BREAKDOWN

1. Cherry Machine (Remix) — 4:40
This track revisits the original Cherry Machine with a focus on atmosphere. The remix introduces a more echo-driven and slightly slowed-down presentation, giving the song a different sense of space and tone.

While the core structure and meaning remain unchanged, the adjustments create a version that feels more distant and reflective compared to the original.

2. Penis (Extended Remix) — 3:27
The extended remix of Penis builds directly on the original version while adding new elements to its introduction and pacing.

This version features a longer drum and bass intro, along with a slightly faster and more energetic tone overall. It has become the preferred version for live performances, used to build anticipation before the full track begins.

Rather than altering the identity of the song, this version amplifies its presence and impact.

3. Lawn Mower Overture, Parts 1 & 2 (Remix / Edit) — 7:49
Originally split into two separate tracks on Cherry Machine, Lawn Mower Overture is combined here into a single continuous piece.

Both parts are shortened and restructured, resulting in a more condensed version that maintains the essence of the original while reducing its overall length. The track functions as a streamlined edit, bringing both halves together into one cohesive form.

4. What You Can Buy as a Broke College Student (Slowed + Reverb) — 1:55
This track is presented exactly as its title suggests—a slowed and reverb-heavy version of the original.

The changes are purely atmospheric, transforming the feel of the song without altering its structure. The result is a more laid-back, ambient take that contrasts with the original recording.

THE PROJECT AS A WHOLE

More Cherries in the Machine is not built on reinvention, but on reinterpretation.

Each track takes something already established and shifts it slightly—through tempo, structure, or atmosphere—creating variations that feel both familiar and distinct. Some changes are subtle, others more noticeable, but all remain connected to the original material.

The EP highlights the flexibility of Cherry Machine as a project, showing how its songs can exist in multiple forms without losing their identity.
