The Great Decay is a five-track EP from Disabled Parker and the release that officially closes the Gradual Unmaking era, the long-running period that grew out of the album The Gradual Unmaking. Rather than beginning a completely new chapter, the EP sits in the space between endings and whatever comes next, with songs centered around pressure, dependency, detachment, memory, and change.
The cassette includes “Birth,” “What Are You Waiting For?,” “Inter 9,” “Dull,” and the nearly eleven-minute closing track “Where All the Werewolves Are.” The physical edition also includes the exclusive bonus track “Burn,” which is not included with the standard streaming release.
All six tracks are contained on Side A, keeping the entire EP and bonus track together as one continuous side.
Visually, the cassette uses the original Great Decay artwork featuring Alexander Hunter’s eye, heavily altered with glitching, distortion, VHS-inspired textures, and the Disabled Parker logo worked into the design.
