The Great Decay is a five-track EP from Disabled Parker and the release that officially closes the Gradual Unmaking era, the long-running period that grew out of the album The Gradual Unmaking. Rather than trying to begin a completely new chapter, the EP sits in the space between endings and whatever comes next, with songs centered around pressure, dependency, detachment, memory, and change.
The CD includes “Birth,” “What Are You Waiting For?,” “Inter 9,” “Dull,” and the nearly eleven-minute closing track “Where All the Werewolves Are.” The physical edition also includes the exclusive bonus track “Burn,” which is not part of the standard streaming release.
Visually, the release is built around the original Great Decay artwork featuring Alexander Hunter’s eye, heavily altered with glitching, distortion, VHS-inspired textures, and the Disabled Parker logo worked into the design.
